lespecial is a trio that possesses a natural talent for composing and improvising confidently outside of the boundaires of musical genres, while at the same time faithfully recreating traditions in world rhythms and musics. Their sound is both well informed and boldly inventive, mixing innovative forms of funk, reggae, hip hop, jazz, and latin, as well as their own experimental sounds that defy convention and categorization.
