Missed Del Amitri due to getting there late but Simple Minds were great. The video screen incorporated elements of the album the song they were playing was from, which was a nice touch.
The icing on the cake was the fantastic rendition of Belfast Child, which was just the highlight for me of the evening.
We also had the required "la la las" for Don't You (Forget About Me) which was an extended piece of audience participation fun.
Overall, for my first time seeing the Minds live, they exceeded all expectations.
