First concert with Jerry Garcia. As luck would have it the year I could finally go see them the Grateful Dead took off. Jerry did tour with a band known as Legion of Mary. This was the days when we mailed into the Promoter to get tickets to shows. If you mailed on the first day you got excellent seats. In this case first row at a theater in Milwaukee.
We had a large group of people there and were all too cool to get up and dance or even move. We sat in the seats in front and sort of set the tone for the place. I read in an interview later where Jerry mentioned Milwaukee and said it was a drag. I've always felt partially responsible for that. :)
